Pursuant to the EMB Memorandum Circular No. 2020-29 Section 3: Conduct of Online PCO Trainings in view of the measures adopted to combat COVID-19 and prohibition of mass gatherings and following the online platform requirements as prescribed by EMB, and after months long preparation, PCAPI-7 conducted its 1st Webinar 40-Hour Basic PCO Training Course on August 13-14 & 18-20, 2020 in response to the need for the Pollution Control Officer (PCO) to be accredited as a mandatory requirement under DAO 2014-02 of the DENR-EMB or the Revised Guidelines for PCO Accreditation
This online training as approved by DENR-EMB is designed to meet the requirements for accreditation and provide knowledge of environmental laws necessary to capacitate the PCO in complying different environmental laws enforced by EMB.
It was the first online training for PCO accreditation conducted in the entire region and was indeed a successful run. It was attended by 85 participants. (See more photos at the Activities section)
