The Pollution Control Association of the Philippines, Inc. – Region 7 (PCAPI-7) in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau Region 7 (DENR-EMB7) conducted a “PCO Updates Forum and PCO General Assembly Meeting and PCAPI-7 Election of Officers 2013-2014” on December 7, 2012 (Friday) at Harolds Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City.
The forum was focused on issues related to updates on the proposed amendments to DENR Administrative Order no. 26 – the Appointment and Designation of Pollution Control Officers.
The forum provided an opportunity for Pollution Control Officers (PCO) to know any updates in compliance requirements set by DENR-EMB7 including ways to facilitate permitting, monitoring and reporting processes in DENR-EMB7.
The highlights of the Assembly include President and Treasurer’s Report, Election of 2013-2014 PCAPI-7 Officers, and Christmas Fellowship 2012.
The newly elected PCAPI-7 President is Engr. Raff J. Ortega with Vice President for Internal Affairs – Engr. Rowel T. Bustillo and Vice President for External Affairs – Engr. Aldreck H. Madelo. The following Board of Trustees (BOT) are also elected: Engr. Marissa Codeñera Gorosin – Secretary, Ms. Rosario P. Canillo – Treasurer, Engr. Ramir Francis L. Silva – Auditor, Ms. Rhoda P. Vasquez – PRO for Internal Affairs, Engr. Antonio N. Atillo – PRO for External Affairs, Engr. Zoe Achilles N. Villordon, Engr. Janett B. Lora, Engr. Daizy S. Alcoba, Ms. Perlita P. Saragena, Mr. Frederick John M. Villaflor, Engr. Walter M. Cabañero and Engr. Ernesto T. Avila.
