Twenty students of San Carlos Seminary College taking Earth Science under Engr. Ester Ivy Tariman were the recipient of gardening tools solicited from PCAPI7. To learn more about soil, soil erosion, minerals, rocks, weathering through actual experience, the students were assigned garden plots to plant their desired vegetables. At the end of the semester, the vegetables will form part of a meal that will be cooked and served by the students to a number of families living in nearby Barangay Luz.
Since the students lacked garden tools to make their work more efficient and safe, a letter was sent to PCAPI7 for assistance. As part of PCAPI7’s thrust to encourage the youth to learn more about the environment, the association granted the request last December 2015.
