Founded in 1980 as a non-stock, non-profit and non-government organization, the Pollution Control Association of the Philippines Inc. – Region 7 (PCAPI-7) has established linkages with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and other government agencies, academic institutions and other non-government organizations with environmental programs and advocacies.
Last January 16, 2015, the PCAPI-7 had inducted its new set of officers for 2015-2016 in Bayfront Hotel, Cebu City to usher them into pursuing the association’s goals and objectives. PCAPI-7 is represented by its President, Engr. Ramir Francis L. Silva, together with 14 newly elected Board of Directors (BOD) namely: Engr. Rowel Bustillo (VP-Internal), Engr. Aldreck Madelo (VP-External), Engr. Jasmin Capangpangan (Secretary), Ms. Rosario Canillo (Treasurer), Engr. Frederick John Villaflor (Auditor), Engr. Rhoda Vasquez (PRO-Internal), Engr. Antonio Atillo (PRO-External), Ms. Perlita Saragena (BOD), Engr. Ernesto Avila (BOD), Engr. Walter Cabanero (BOD), Engr. Daizy Alcoba (BOD), Engr. Rolito Magdadaro (BOD), Engr. Ma. Cleofe Jabaybay (BOD), Engr. Mary Joy Miranda (BOD).
On the same occasion, the officers of PCAPI-7 Foundation Inc. also held its induction ceremonies. The PCAPI-7 Foundation Inc. is also spearheaded by its President, Engr. Edmond Dantes G. Ouano together with other Board of Trustees namely: Engr. Oscar Ma, Engr. Jesselito Baring, Engr. Consolacion Sumalinog, Engr. Raff Ortega.
Both the momentous induction ceremonies of PCAPI-7 and PCAPI-7 Foundation Inc. were attended by DENR Regional Executive Director Dr. Isabelo Montejo, DENR-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) Regional Director Engr. William Cuñado and DOST Regional Director Engr. Edilberto Paradela.
